Melodic Rendezvous has been retired

11.11.17 -  Melodic Rendezvous has been retired following his defeat in the Unibet Elite Hurdle at Wincanton. He won eight of his 31 starts amassing £270,953 in prize money with his biggest success at Sandown in 2013 where he won the Grade 1 Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle.

He always ran above his ability because he was so tough and when he won the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at the start of 2013 he was brillian. That kickstarted a sequence that included success in the Grade 2 Elite Hurdle, a race that brought the curtain down on his career on Saturday after he trailed in a distant last of the seven runners behind London Prize.

He was a fun horse who took us to a lot of exciting places and he has finished sound and hopefully will have a nice happy retirement with Paul Govier, one of his owners who lives near us.
