Exciting Novice Chasers

A busy week for us starting at Hereford and Plumpton, Stormy Flight is going the right way over hurdles, he is learning with every run and will find his level once handicapping. Two Sams made a successful debut for Team Scott at Plumpton, he needed to prove himself, he was on a lowly mark which he took advantage of under a great ride from Nick.

Kissesforkatie ran well at Exeter to finish fourth in a good novice hurdle against the boys, she set the standard in the race. Ballybough Nora ran on well at the end of the race. The star of the day was Orchardstown Cross winning the Staying Challenger Series Qualifier under a terrific ride from Rex Dingle.

Dashel Drasher made an exciting chasing debut at Newbury, finishing second to Champ. He had only schooled at home and at Phillip Hobbs' and he led the field and looked to have even Champ under the pump for a few strides. He is an exciting youngster to look forward to running in some of the decent novice chases this winter!

Fantasia Storm ran well on her debut at Fontwell, she is only four and will be stronger next season. Tactical Manoeuvre ran well on his debut fr the yard to finish 3rd.

Native Robin is a victim of his own cnsistency and finished second at Wincanton in the Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase, he is a great fun horse for his owners, The Punchestown Syndicate. According to the commentator, Sizeable Sam was the best named horse on the day at Wincanton, he is a big, scopey youngster who has a stride which eats up the ground. He was one we were very excited about running to see if he could replicate what he shows on the gallops. He ran a brilliant race for his debut, beaten only a short head having shown a little greeness on the run in. He ran in Camilla's colours and is for sale, Nick gave him a brilliant ride, he is one to look forward to the future.

Champagne Court was the second of our novice chasers to make a fantastic debut over the larger obstacles, he had run well in top class handicap hurdles over the past year. He is a chaser in the making and this was a fantastic chasing debut, winning by 6 lengths!
