A busy week, the staff returned to work and after a briefing of how things are going to work within the yard to ensure everyone is kept safe at Holworthy.
The team also enjoyed an emergency first aid course provided by Akesis Medical Services. We have been doing this training with our team for the past 6 years to ensure the team's safety. As we are isolated and often out of mobile signal, if there is an emergency, we need to ensure our staff have the training to manage any situation.
The horses are been returning to work over the past few weeks, starting to go on the walker, and beginning to build up their fitness. The team have been working hard over this prolonged summer break to get the yards clean and complete all the little maintenance jobs that are normally at the bottom of a long list!
Our first jumping runners will probably be at Newton Abbot, however we have Ruby Wine running on the flat at Chepstow this afternoon. She is making her handicap debut after three runs last season.
