5 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION
The rules and updates on the 5 to follow competition
The 5 to follow competition will start on Monday 9th October 2023 and will run until the end of the season which is Saturday 27th April . Entries need to be received by noon on Monday 9th October. It is £10 per entry and multiple entries are highly encouraged. Monthly updates will be emailed to all participants and will also be listed on our website. The points system will be the same as previous years. The rules, entry form and horse list are below:
THE RULES
1.£10 per entry- multiple entries are encouraged!
2.You must pick 5 horses from the yard.
3.The competition starts on Monday 9th October and finishes on the last day of the jumps turf season in the UK which is Saturday 27th April 2023. Entries in by noon Monday 9th October.
4.All jumps, point to points and flat races count in this period, but no charity races.
5.The horses must still be trained at Holworthy to count for points.
6.The points system is as follow:
WINNER 10 points
SECOND 5 points
THIRD 2 points
7.You get double points for a Listed, class 2 & class 3 race.
8.You get treble points for a Graded race.
9.And in the event of having a Grade 1 winner, you get a 50-point bonus.
10. All entry money goes into a pool. A donation will be made to the Injured Jockeys Fund and the remainder will be divided between successful entrants.
All horses in the HIT book are included plus any horses on site on the day of Monday 9th October, updated list of horses will be available on the website.
