5 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION
The rules and updates on the 5 to follow competition
The 5 to follow competition will start on Saturday 11th October and will run until the end of the season which is Saturday 25th April 2026. Entries need to be received by noon on Saturday 11th October. It is £10 per entry and multiple entries are highly encouraged. Monthly updates will be emailed to all participants and will also be listed on our website. The points system will be the same as previous years. The rules, entry form and horse list are below.

You must pick 5 horses from the yard.

The competition starts on Saturday 11th October 2025 before the first race at Chepstow and finishes on the last day of the jumps turf season in the UK which is Saturday 25th April 2026. Entries in by noon Friday 10th October 2025

All jumps, point to points and flat races count in this period, but no charity races.

The horses must still be trained at Holworthy to count for points.

The points system is as follow:
WINNER 10 points
SECOND 5 points
THIRD 2 points
FOURTH 0.5 points -
You get double points for a Listed, class 2 & class 3 race.

You get treble points for a Graded race.

And in the event of having a Grade 1 winner, you get a 50-point bonus.

All entry money goes into a pool. A donation will be made to the Injured Jockeys Fund and the remainder will be divided between successful entrants.
All horses in the HIT book are included plus any horses on site on the day of Saturday 11th October, updated list of horses will be available on the website.
