Open Day

This week we have lost The Queen, the only head of state I have know within my lifetime and her death has touch many. She was an admirable woman, whose love and passion of horses and of horse racing was evident. My Grandfather was commissioner of the metropolitan police when she became Queen and rode in front of her carriage during the parade of her coronation, 70 years ago. Georgina has worked for two of her trainers and was privileged to saddle Forth Bridge when he won the Silver Plate at Kempton on behalf of Charlie Longsdon for The Queen. These are only a few moments our family has brushed with royalty, and she will be missed as an owner, breeder and supporter of horse racing.

We have our Open Day as part of National Racehorse week on Tuesday 13th September 12-2pm. This is an opportunity to meet the horses and the team behind them. Leah is going to be doing an equine dental examination display, we also have representatives from Spillers and Haddon Training to answer any questions you may have about nutrition or training or working within the industry. The West Somerset Hunt are providing refreshments and our horses in training book will be available to purchase. Please register your interest and attendence on the National Racehorse Week website.
